16 /11/ 2007 Important Notice Track Redevelopment We have just been informed that Hagenauer Reserve will shortly be closed for redevelopment; an upgrade and complete resurfacing of the track. Although a firm commencement date is not yet available, we believe that we will no longer have access to the track after the first week of December through to April. While it is unfortunate that this interruption will occur during our season, it is a situation that is beyond our control. After reviewing a range of possible options, we are delighted to advise you that we have secured the use of the Bill Sewart Athletics Track in Nunawading (Melways Map 62 C7) for the remainder of our season. Our usual Saturday competition will in most cases be run on Sunday mornings at the Nunawading Track with our start and finish times being the same. As information is known, we will make it available to you through newsletters and our website , also a new calendar for the remainder of the season will be made available to you as soon as possible It is very important during this temporary relocation of our competition that we all remember that we are here for our children. Let’s make sure that we all work together to create a positive environment for our young athletes to enjoy their participation and journey towards those celebrated Personal Bests that they all strive for! Parents, please remember that your valued contribution to the successful running of our programs, through attending your rostered duties will be vital in ensuring that our athletes are given the best opportunity to make the most of their athletics. Please be supportive of our committee members as they take on extra roles and responsibilities to make this transition as smooth as possible. Remember that we are all volunteers. Together we can make this a success. Stuart Miller President BHLAC
